Singles Box League

The Club Box League is open to all membersof the club and will be set up based on the self-rating guide and the results from the final session in previous year, where applicable.

The goal is to allow members to find more players to play, at their level, and the results will also be used for seeding purposes in our club championships in August. Matches are to be arranged directly by the participants - a contact list will be provided to each participant. Please note that your email address and/or telephone number will be circulated to all Box League participants and posted at Clubhouse.

Matches will consist of an 8 game pro-set with a tiebreaker at 7 all and up to 45 minutes will be permitted to complete the match. When posting your names on the blackboard, please make it clear that it is a Box League match, so that you will not be bumped until after the 45 minute time period. If the match is not concluded during that time limit, the final score will be whatever the score was at the end of that time period, however, if both players agree, they may conclude their match. Subject to the discretion of the Custodian or the duty director, only one Box League match will be permitted during peak hours. The winner is responsible for completing the score on the posted Boxes in the clubhouse.

At the end of each session, total games won will determine the results for the next session – if there is a tie, games lost will also be considered. The top two in each box will move up and the bottom two will move down. Although there is no fee to participate in the Singles Box League, each player must supply a new unopened can of balls for each match, one is opened for the match – the winner takes the unopened can and the loser keeps the can used for the match.
